We know you have many questions. That is why Adoptexas has prepared a list of the most frequently asked questions concerning adoption and birthparents. Although these questions can help you answer some of the most basic adoption questions, please remember that every person is different and that only a trained maternity counselor can give you the specific information you need to fit your individual concerns.

Q. I need help now! What do I do?

More importantly, at Adoptexas we want you to know that we are here for you and will answer your questions honestly and openly so that you will be able to make a decision that is best for you and your baby.

Q. Does anyone care about how I feel?
A. At Adoptexas we are experts in placing children with qualified and loving families, but we never forget the most important aspect of the adoption process, the birth mother. We know how difficult considering adoption can be and we want you to know that we care first and foremost about you. We work very hard at making the process of adoption a positive experience for everyone. Our commitment to you does not end at the placement of the child with the adoptive family. We continue to care about you and your emotional needs and will be available now, during the birth and in the future.

We care about the birth parents and we take our responsibility to the mother and to the child personally, not just until the placement occurs, but forever and that is the real difference! The Maternity counselor, the birth mother first speaks with, will be with her throughout the adoption process with Adoptexas.

Q. When people find out I am pregnant and approach me about families that they know who may want to adopt my baby, how do I handle this?
A. People will put you on the spot and try to manipulate you into trying to conduct a private placement, which is dangerous, as you do not have any of the protections that come with working with Adoptexas. It may look easy, but handling the adoption process correctly takes a lot of training, experience, and knowledge. You need Adoptexas to protect your interests and make sure that everything is done legally and correctly. When you need someone to talk to in the future Adoptexas will be there.

Experienced professionals working for everyone's best interests will represent you. The staff must meet training, educational, and screening requirements as required by and regulated by the state of Texas. This family profile generally includes: photographs of the adoptive family and relatives, as well as information about their educations, occupations, activities they enjoy, religious beliefs, feelings about contact with the birth parents, along with other information that may help you with your decision.
